Job Title: Operations Manager - Heavy Civil/Underground Utilities

Salary Range:
- Compensation for this position ranges from $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 annually, depending on the individual's qualifications and experience.
Are you a seasoned professional with a proven track record in operations management within the heavy civil and underground utilities construction industry? This leading general contractor is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead all operational functions of their midsize construction company. If you possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in underground utilities, project management, and estimating, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all operational functions of a midsize heavy civil/underground utilities construction company.
- Manage and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
- Utilize your estimating experience to support bid proposal development and project costing.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience within the heavy civil construction industry.
- At least 10 years of project management experience, demonstrating a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with estimating processes and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drain lines.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and run all operational functions of a construction company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems.
