This firm is looking for a water/wastewater engineer with 15+ years of experience who can come in as a Principal/Vice President in the Minneapolis, MN office. This engineer will have extensive experience in water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, and infrastructure projects. The engineer will also have experience in business development, client management, mentoring and training, project research, and the ability to lead an office.
Requirements:
- BSc in Civil Engineering or relevant degree
- PE License in Minnesota
- 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Strong in Business Development and Client Interaction
- Experience in producing accurate and complete plans and reports
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to train, mentor, and guide staff - review work for quality
- Solid management and leadership skills
- Able to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, and solve complex problems
- Knowledge of AutoCAD & Civil 3D
Brief Responsibilities:
- Identify contacts, clients, and opportunities for new work
- Train, mentor, and guide staff
- Grow the Water/Wastewater group
- Ensure senior project managers, project managers, and the team have resources necessary to meet scheduling and budgeting on projects
- Interface daily with clients, develop proposals, scopes and fees, ensure billing and collections
- Strategic planning of water/wastewater marketing
- Responsible for assigned portion of office sales goals
- Direct a staff with varied levels of experience and expertise
- Ensure quality control measures are being adhered to in project delivery
