Salary: $130,000 - $210,000

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Consultant to join our team in San Diego. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in environmental engineering, geology, or related scientific fields, and a proven track record of success in soil and groundwater remediation projects. As a Principal Consultant, you will play a key role in both winning and executing projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities in soil and groundwater remediation.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.
- Prepare technical proposals, scope of work documents, and project budgets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, overseeing all aspects of remediation projects from planning and design to implementation and monitoring.
- Conduct site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities in accordance with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on soil and groundwater remediation.
- Professional licensure or certification (e.g., PE, PG, CHg) preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex remediation projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior staff and leading project teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
