They are now putting in efforts in various types of technologies including solar, BESS, wind, as well as hydrogen. Job responsibilities:
- Support with the identification and obtention of all approvals for the Project, including permits, approvals, and agreements, at local, state & federal level.
- Ensuring compliance with these regulatory approvals through all phases of the project.
- Develop and maintain trusting and productive relationships with landholders, community, stakeholders, traditional owners, and local, state and government personnel.
- Manage desktop and field-based investigations into all aspects of development constraints, identify red flags and assess site suitability around key features such as planning, environment, and heritage.
- Manage the identification, contracting and work of individual contract staff and external consulting firms as required to achieve objectives.
- Manage regulatory & community interfaces with technical and execution parts of the project team. Work at extracting information required for approvals and at ensuring project execution teams are aware of regulatory and community obligations during execution.
- Contribute regulatory and community elements to project management activities of budgeting, scheduling, cost & schedule control, reporting, and integrated risk management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and development application processes, environmental approvals and reporting, stakeholder, and community engagement.
- Experience in energy infrastructure development for any or several of grid / utility-scale renewables, oil and gas processing, LNG, port facilities etc.
- Preferably prior South Australia regulatory approvals experience.
