Summary: My client is national IPP, seeking a dynamic Development Associate to play a pivotal role on their East Coast Utility Scale Development team. As Development Associate, you will be driving the development of solar, wind, and storage projects across PJM, ISO-NE, and NYISO markets.
The Project Development Associate will be responsible for:
- Support the development of large-scale renewable energy projects, from conception to construction including land acquisitions, permitting, interconnection efforts.
- Manage relationships with local partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate complex permitting, engineering, and financing processes.
- Strategize with the Origination team as necessary to secure power purchase agreements and drive project profitability.
- Maintain industry expertise and network to stay ahead of market trends and opportunities.
The Project Development Associate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar and wind projects.
- Proficiency in navigating regulatory, permitting, and interconnection processes in the Eastern U.S.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel as needed, about 25%.
