Position Overview: As an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various environmental projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget while adhering to environmental regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental projects, including but not limited to environmental impact assessments, remediation projects, and sustainability initiatives.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to allocate resources effectively and achieve project objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present project progress reports, findings, and recommendations to clients, regulatory agencies, and senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to inform project strategies and ensure alignment with current standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and development within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects of varying complexity.
- Professional certification or licensure (e.g., PG license) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
