Regional Geotechnical Engineer Position - Dallas, TX
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage and lead geotechnical projects effectively.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project plans.
Site Investigation and Analysis:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including subsurface exploration, soil sampling, and laboratory testing.
- Analyze site conditions and provide geotechnical recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.
Report Preparation:
- Generate clear and concise geotechnical reports detailing findings, interpretations, and recommendations.
- Present technical information to clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the quality of geotechnical data through rigorous testing procedures and adherence to industry standards.
- Review and approve geotechnical engineering documents prepared by junior staff.
Client Interaction:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
- Act as a technical resource for clients, addressing inquiries and providing expert advice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
