A fast growing Renewable Energy developer company is looking for an M&A Manager to join their team in Tokyo, Japan!
As an M&A Manager, the successful candidate will support M&A and investment activities to support for the company's growth. The responsibilities involve in key areas such as strategy development, deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and execution.

Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation of the company's M&A strategy, concentrating on deals that support our goal of increasing the amount of renewable energy we use.
- Find, filter, and assess possible M&A and partnership possibilities proactively.
- Oversee the process of conducting due diligence on potential investments by working with cross-functional teams made up of legal, financial, and technological specialists to evaluate the opportunities and risks involved.
- Create comprehensive customized financial models to aid in the underwriting of deals.
- Support the negotiation of commercial and legal documentation with potential sellers, partners, and debt / equity financiers, and manage the execution of transactions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, ideally within energy sector or related industries
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with a deep understanding of valuation techniques and financial metrics
- Experience in financial modelling, project finance, or LBO for renewable energy projects is highly preferred
- Fluent in Japanese and English
