Our client, a leading automation company based in Minneapolis, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join their team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems that meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience as an Industrial Automation/Automation engineer
Skills:
PLC Programming - The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC programming languages like Rockwell.
HMI Designing - Experience creating intuitive HMI designs using software tools
Commissioning- Ability to test all aspects of electrical controls equipment including installation verification on-site commission testing .
Instrumentation Diagrams - Candidate must possess strong skills interpreting diagrams used by engineers/electricians.
Collaborating & Troubleshooting Skills - Confidence working independently while also being open-minded when it comes to collaborating with other professionals/technicians within multi-disciplinary teams
Technical Support - Must demonstrate excellent technical support understanding , particularly troubleshooting complex issues associated with industrial automation machinery/systems.
Safety Regulations Awareness- Knowledge about safety regulations governing manufacturing environments especially OSHA standards would be considered advantageous
Responsibilities include:
Design Control Systems That Meet Customer Requirements : Developing new concepts after assessing needs; ensuring compliance through design review process; providing input into product development plans;
Support Development Projects : Coordination between different departments involved across various tasks during project execution phases ; participating actively towards achievement goals ;
Provide Technical Assistance To Production Teams And Customers When Required Provide assistance regarding maintenance operations conducted both internally (production department) externally customers via phone/email/chat,
Travel up to 15%~25%. Occasional travel may arise where necessary depending upon business demands.
Salary:
$100,000 to $130,000 per annum
