A local New Mexico Civil Consultant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Santa Fe. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with a strong background in civil infrastructure projects.
This role involves overseeing the design and implementation of various projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and development of infrastructure projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create detailed engineering drawings and plans.
- Conduct site assessments and analyze data to develop efficient and effective engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Mexico
- Experience with mentorship, training, and leading engineering teams.
