Summary
With more than 125 solar energy projects developed across the US, a leading IPP in renewable energy space is looking to bring on a talented Senior Project Engineer in the greater NYC area. This engineer will perform design engineering and project support across multiple C&I solar and energy storage projects. Responsibilities
- Creating preliminary PV site layouts and drawing sets for development and permitting
- Provide technical evaluations for new business opportunities and work with project managers for design review to be provided for EPC contractors
- Reviewing 3rd party engineering drawings and working with project development and project managers
- Working on multiple Distributed Generation Ground Mounted Photovoltaic Solar Farms or Solar PV+BESS projects at one time and in some cases across multiple regions
Qualifications
- Proficient with PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience with renewable energy projects (solar/BESS)
- S. in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Positive attitude, high energy, supportive team member, problem solver, able to work in a collaborative environment as well as work on self-directed independent projects
