Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Closure professional to join national multi-disciplinary consulting firm in Brisbane. This role can also be based in Perth or Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine closure planning and implementation, with a focus on environmental management and regulatory compliance.
The position can be based in Brisbane, Perth, or Newcastle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mine closure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement mine closure plans, including strategies for environmental rehabilitation, land reclamation, and closure cost estimation.
- Conduct site assessments and environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members and project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mine closure consulting or related field.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and guidelines related to mine closure.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
