They are seeking a senior, P.Eng structural engineer who will take a hands-on role in a variety of projects across forensic analysis, and structural repair & restoration. They offer a great platform for long-term development and progression through the business, supporting continued education and a clear path to leadership positions.
The successful candidate must have substantial experience in wood frame construction, report writing and be able to re-design a damaged building back to its pre-loss condition.
This position is very client facing therefore the successful candidate must be able to market themselves and the company well.
Responsibilities:
- Examines the degree of harm in the civil/structural sectors at residential, commercial, and industrial locations
- Collaborates with diverse teams on extensive and intricate projects.
- Investigate failure modes and code specifications when necessary. Complete all required reporting and create drawings for permits detailing the restoration and renovation projects
- Designing and drafting structural restorations for damaged residential buildings, as well as designing and drafting new residential buildings.
- Collaborates with clients, contractors, and building owners to ensure the project is completed successfully.
- Give suggestions on structure in reports that are well-written.
Requirements:
- P.Eng designation
- Wood frame construction experience
- 3+ years project management experience
- Ontario class "G" drivers licence
