Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transit planning projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet client expectations and project goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive transit plans, including route planning, service design, and operational strategies.
- Conduct data analysis, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations to inform planning decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and private sector partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and responding to RFPs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior planners and support staff.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in transit planning, with a strong emphasis on business development.
- Proven success in securing and managing multi-scale transit projects.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
