The primary role of this position is to actively sell the company's Service offerings. Work on a tactical and strategic level to develop a strong prospect base and meet or exceed all sales and services revenue objectives. Promote and provide cooperation between the various sales channels to drive synergistic and sustainable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Explore existing install base of assigned territory and design strategies to expand Service business.
- Develop and regularly update sales and account plans to achieve assigned targets through customer engagement, Value Selling, and funnel management.
- Participate in sales activities including customer visits, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations, customer and channel seminars, and close opportunities by participating in formal proposals, invitations to bid and supply contracts.
- Collaborate actively with other sales channels to identify opportunities and tailor Service solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Actively manage and support all service-related sales activities, including generating, distributing, and following-up on Service leads using Sales tools, and following structure sales processes in CRM
- Collects and reports on Voice of Customer, competitive activity, business opportunities, trends, and results, to drive new Service product offerings and to identify and develop growth strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Relevant Trade or Tertiary qualification related to instrumentation and/or process control systems.
- Extensive technical understanding, with minimum 5 years of technical sales or service experience, preferably in service sales with spares and contracts.
- Well-developed sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Self-starter with demonstrated proficiency in time management skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office; CRM (Salesforce and Servicemax) and ERP (Oracle or SAP) experience preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically & occasionally internationally, up to 50% of time.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- Water instrumentation, equipment, and process knowledge.
- Strong applications knowledge to provide a total customer solution.
- Experience with SalesForce.com or similar CRM to actively manage a sales territory.
