Job Title: Solution Executive - Transmission & Distribution Practice
Job Summary: As a Solution Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving key sales pursuits within the business cycle, focusing on Pre-Sales, Transition to Delivery, and Account Management. You will collaborate closely with the Business Development Team and Practice Teams to understand client requirements, articulate complex solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. This role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to overcome objections, and a keen understanding of technical and business domains. The successful candidate will be expected to generate net new consulting revenues ranging between $7M and $15M annually, with approximately 50% travel required.
Essential Functions:
Pre-Sales:
- Lead and mentor the Services Business Development team in account planning, assessing current relationships, competitive landscapes, and financial climates.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs and ensure proposed solutions align with their requirements.
- Engage technical experts and leadership to drive solution development, proposals, and contracts.
Transition to Delivery:
- Manage the project origination process, including internal communications, engagement start dates, and contractual document completion.
- Provide solution consulting to delivery leadership and ensure a smooth project initiation process.
Account Management:
- Conduct periodic "health checks" with client project teams and contribute to client portfolio review meetings.
- Work with practice leadership to develop case studies and capture intellectual property materials from projects.
Regional Channel/Alliance Partnership Management:
- Establish and manage relationships with Partner Account Executives, Strategic Client Development Leadership, and Partner Managers.
- Identify and foster opportunity pursuits with partners and co-facilitate regional partner summits and events.
Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences, with a preference for Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- Outstanding presentation and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Strong business and engineering acumen, with the ability to understand client requirements and articulate solutions.
- 10-15 years' experience in Transmission and/or Distribution engineering within medium to large engineering services companies, with experience in Grid automation engineering being advantageous.
- 5-7 years' experience in client-facing roles, such as Project Management or Engineering Management, interfacing with medium to large utilities.
