Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-voltage electrical substations.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for substation design and upgrades.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the substation.
- Develop detailed physical design drawings and specifications for substation equipment, structures, and layouts.
- Review and approve vendor drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and testing phases of substation projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, standards, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in substation design, including the development of physical layouts and specifications.
- Strong proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to substation design and operation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to attaining PE License is preferred.
