Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee their deep underground wet utilities and large diameter pipe projects in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge and leadership in managing complex underground construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of deep underground wet utilities and large diameter pipe projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers to ensure project goals are met.
- Schedule and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor progress and compliance with project specifications.
- Resolve project issues and conflicts promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
Experience Needed:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction.
- Proven track record of successfully managing deep underground wet utilities and large diameter pipe projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in underground construction.
- Experience in scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
