System Ops Trainer in Dorchester, MA (Hybrid)
**First three months are full-time in office**
Technical Knowledge / Skill:
-Knowledge of electric transmission system operations and the functions of the various components that make up the electric transmission system.
-Thorough knowledge of electric system switching and tagging procedures and practices
-Knowledge of Energy Management System (EMS), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) and other operations support applications
-Thorough knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards, OSHA regulation and other regulatory requirements
Education:
-Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
-Five to ten (5-10) years experience in electric power distribution, transmission or generation
-Four (4) years of experience as a System Operator preferred
-One (1) year of experience as a trainer in a formalized training program preferred
Licenses:
-Valid motor vehicle operator's license
-NERC Transmission Operator or higher certification (or must obtain within 6 months)
Working Conditions:
-Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required
-Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
