Our esteemed Oakland-based client is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traffic Design/Operations Engineer to join their team. This permanent position offers a starting salary of $105,000+, with potential for fully remote work if needed.
Role Overview:
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for preparing traffic operations, safety analysis reports as well as conducting freeway operations and railroad grade-crossing analyses. You are expected to have expertise in Caltrans projects development process along with excellent written & oral communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed traffic operation plans
- Conduct thorough safety analyses
- Develop strategies that improve freeway operations
- Mentoring company support staff
- Assisting with business development/networking activities
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- 5+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience working on California transportation (CalTrans) Projects and/or projects with local municipalities
- California PE, TE, or PTOE or ability obtain one within six months after hire date
