While this specific role can be housed out of their CT office, they would be overseeing work at all 8 of their locations. The Traffic Engineering Department Head will be responsible for:
- Oversee the development of traffic staff including workloads, training, and career planning
- Create a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development, and continuous improvement for the staff focused on staff growth and succession planning
- Lead the execution of current and future traffic engineering projects
- Serve as Traffic Discipline Lead on pursuits and opportunities
The Traffic Engineering Department Head should have the following qualifications:
- Civil Engineering degree, PE required, PTOE preferred
- 15+ yrs related experience
- Active Transportation, Multi-modal and transit-oriented design experience
- Signal Design experience
- Familiarity with CTDOT standards
- Experience obtaining Federal, State and Local regulatory approvals and permits;
- Ability to foster business development relationships.
