Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Transportation Engineer with a background in Traffic Engineering and 4+ years of experience to join our team. As a Transportation Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing transportation projects with a focus on traffic engineering principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct traffic impact studies, corridor analyses, and capacity assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement traffic control plans, signal designs, and roadway geometrics to optimize traffic flow and enhance safety.
- Utilize traffic simulation software and modeling techniques to assess traffic operations and predict future conditions.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that address transportation challenges and meet project objectives.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and specifications in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus on traffic engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and/or HCS.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, standards, and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
