VDC Coordinator - Electrical Construction (Remote)

Primary Responsibilities:
The VDC Coordinator will play a critical role in overseeing the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for complex electrical construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating BIM models to ensure accurate design, clash detection, and constructability reviews.
- Collaborating with project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to maintain alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Implementing and maintaining VDC workflows, standards, and best practices to optimize project efficiency and quality.
- Leading VDC-related meetings and providing technical expertise to support project execution.
- Troubleshooting VDC-related challenges and recommending innovative solutions to drive project success.
- Training and mentoring team members on VDC tools, software, and methodologies.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong preference for expertise in electrical construction.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in VDC/BIM coordination, demonstrating proficiency in relevant software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Deep understanding of construction workflows, processes, and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and delivering results.
