Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- As a Senior Engineer - General Civil Engineering for the Water Resources team a part of your responsibilities will include planning, design, and construction support for Water Resources and applicable projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative land development projects with a primary focus on water resources.
- Conduct site assessments, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and provide technical expertise in storm water management and drainage design.
- Develop and review engineering plans, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering insightful solutions to meet project goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
Required Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- P.E. license
- Minimum of 10 years relevant civil engineering experience
- Project management experience on Water Resources/Stormwater
- Experience managing public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).
- Ability to lead, train, motivate, and work within a team
- Ability to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-disciplinary teams, and management
- Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, reviewing invoices, and managing client communications
- Ability to manage several subconsultants and internal staff on a multi-disciplinary team
- Design and construction support experience with transportation projects
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Prior consulting experience managing municipal (state, county, city) projects
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities
- Attention to detail, delivering quality work products, and excellent client service
