Geotechnical Engineer - EIT or PE

We're working with a fast-growing, privately owned environmental and geotechnical consulting firm that has grown from a one-person operation to 75+ employees in just 5 years. Following the acquisition of a well-established firm in Tallahassee (currently turning over ~$500K annually), we're now searching for a Geotechnical Engineer to help drive growth and shape the future of this expanding branch.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, career-building opportunity to join a growing geotechnical office and help scale services across the Southeast. You'll be working on geotechnical reports, site investigations, lab testing, and field services - with room to expand into project management, leadership, and even business development if that's your goal.

The team in Tallahassee is small but motivated - including junior engineers, interns, and drillers. You'll be a core part of a bigger vision to take this branch from $500K to $1-2M+, supported by a company with serious ambition and momentum.

Who We're Looking For:

Geotechnical Engineer - EIT or PE

  • 5+ years' experience in geotechnical or civil engineering

  • Strong understanding of soil reports, lab testing, and foundations/site design

  • Florida EIT or PE license (or ability to obtain quickly)

  • Eager to grow, take ownership of projects, and eventually lead

  • Down-to-earth, proactive, and a team player - no micromanagement here
