Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Electrical Construction

Location: Dallas, TX

Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale electrical construction projects from inception to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with all contractual obligations and safety regulations.

You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle-including bidding, preconstruction, and construction-while providing strong leadership to project teams and field operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of assigned electrical construction projects.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Preconstruction & Bidding: Lead bid efforts, manage bid documents, and oversee contractor selection and negotiations.
  • Coordination: Align design, permitting, and construction activities across multiple trades and stakeholders.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Change Management: Review and approve change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress billings.
  • Financial Control: Monitor job costs, cash flow, and forecasting to maintain financial health.
  • Safety & Quality: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards.
  • Site Engagement: Conduct regular site visits and meetings to assess progress, resolve issues, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to minimize schedule or cost impacts.
  • Team Development: Supervise and mentor project teams, including Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and cost tracking logs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support best practices and compliance with industry standards.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proven success managing large commercial or data center projects ($20M+).
  • Exceptional organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Licensing

  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred (not required).

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years managing large electrical construction projects.
  • Strong preference for experience in commercial, data center, or mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated success in budget, schedule, and client relationship management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred.
