The business case for gender diversity is stronger than ever, but many companies are struggling to ensure women are fairly represented in top management. At LVI Associates, we believe the answer is by making gender diversity a commercial imperative - and business leaders agree. A report by McKinsey & Company found that 90% of CEOs said they prioritized gender diversity because it 'leads to better business results'. Yet the majority of their employees said that contribution to a 'positive message of the company', not financial impact, was the main reason that their company engaged with gender diversity. In our survey, 42.9% of engineering professionals said that their company does not provide evidence that gender parity is good for business. This is the missing link.
