A growing site development contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join their team. This firm specializes in transforming raw land into fully developed, build‑ready sites and is looking for someone who can hit the ground running with strong estimating skills and well‑established industry relationships.
About the Role
As a Civil Estimator, you'll be responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of true site development projects, including earthwork, grading, foundations, storm drainage, and full site packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for site development projects ranging from $500K to upwards of $5M.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand scope and project risks.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate labor, equipment, and material requirements.
- Develop competitive proposals and support value‑engineering discussions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Provide estimate breakdowns, clarifications, and preconstruction insights to internal teams.
What We're Looking For
- 10-20 years of civil/site development estimating experience.
- Solid background in sitework: earthwork, storm drainage, foundations, grading, and full site prep.
- Ability to identify scope requirements and assemble complete, accurate estimates.
- Strong industry relationships that can bring immediate value to the business.
- Experience handling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
