Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee complex commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This role is perfect for a driven leader who excels at managing project performance, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring high‑quality electrical installations from kickoff through closeout.
You'll partner with field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and executives to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover
- Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans
- Coordinate daily operations with field supervisors and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with NEC, project specifications, drawings, and QA/QC standards
Financial & Administrative Management
- Track budgets, productivity, materials, and cost forecasts
- Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and change orders
- Review subcontractor invoices and progress billings
- Mitigate risks and resolve jobsite issues proactively
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, GCs, engineers, and vendors
- Lead project meetings and communicate progress and challenges clearly
- Maintain strong relationships to support repeat business and future opportunities
Quality, Safety & Field Support
- Enforce all safety policies and ensure jobsite compliance
- Conduct regular site walks to verify quality workmanship and installation accuracy
- Support field teams in troubleshooting design or coordination issues
Team Development
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Partner with leadership on staffing and resource planning for current and upcoming projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects
- Proven background in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, mission‑critical, or similar sectors
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, codes, and specifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid or similar tools preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced Dallas market
Preferred (Not Required)
- Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with design‑build delivery
- Professional certifications (PMP, LEED, etc.)
