MEP Coordinator

We are partnering with a leading general contractor in the Boston market that is seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile commercial, multifamily residential, and pharmaceutical/life sciences projects throughout the Greater Boston area.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating complex building systems through the use of VDC, BIM, and clash detection technologies, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently from design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead MEP coordination efforts across commercial, residential, and pharmaceutical construction projects.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models using industry-standard software.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Perform clash detection analysis and work collaboratively to resolve system conflicts.
  • Review construction documents and identify coordination risks prior to installation.
  • Work closely with project management and field teams to ensure coordinated system installation.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
  • Monitor model progress and ensure BIM deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Assist in implementing VDC best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP coordination, BIM, VDC, or related construction roles.
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, and pharmaceutical/life sciences projects.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM/VDC platforms.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience conducting clash detection and model-based coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
