Regional Safety Manager

This is a leadership role responsible for driving safety performance across multiple projects or business units. You'll oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programmes, while partnering closely with operations leadership to ensure a proactive, not reactive, safety culture.


What you'll be doing

Programme leadership

  • Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
  • Standardising safety practices across multiple sites or regions
  • Driving consistency in compliance, reporting, and training

Field engagement

  • Conducting site audits, inspections, and safety reviews
  • Supporting project teams in identifying and mitigating risk
  • Leading incident investigations and root cause analysis

Training & development

  • Delivering safety training and toolbox talks
  • Coaching site teams and supervisors on best practices
  • Supporting development of junior safety staff

Data & performance

  • Monitoring safety metrics and identifying trends
  • Using data to drive improvements and reduce incidents
  • Reporting performance to senior leadership

Collaboration

  • Working closely with PMs, Supers, and executives
  • Influencing decisions in preconstruction and planning phases
  • Acting as a key advisor on risk and compliance

Who they're looking for

  • 7-10+ years' experience in construction or industrial safety
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple sites or a region
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to influence field teams and senior leadership
  • Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST (preferred)
