This role offers the opportunity to lead complex academic projects for colleges and universities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary, design‑driven team.
The Opportunity
This position is ideal for a Licensed Architect who thrives in a client‑facing leadership role and has experience managing higher education projects from concept through construction. The firm is known for large‑scale, technically sophisticated academic work and a strong commitment to design excellence, research, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Higher Education projects through all phases of design and delivery
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and consultant coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients and stakeholders
- Guide and mentor project teams, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables
- Oversee technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Collaborate closely with internal design, planning, and engineering partners
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect (required)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- 8+ years of professional experience, with a strong focus on Higher Education projects
- Proven experience managing complex academic facilities (academic buildings, student centers, STEM, labs, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, consultant coordination, and project delivery methods
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with industry‑standard tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills
