Experienced Environmental Engineer
A well-established, environmental consulting firm is seeking an Experienced Environmental Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support remediation-focused projects with a mix of technical leadership, project management, and fieldwork.
Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Engineering or Civil/Chemical Engineering with an environmental focus
- Advanced degree in a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Experience with environmental remediation system design, including:
- In situ technologies (ISCO, SVE, thermal, ISS)
- Excavation and disposal
- System installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization
- Current OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER and refreshers (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and interpret remedial investigations involving soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, and indoor air
- Apply traditional sampling and high‑resolution site characterization techniques
- Develop feasibility studies, remedial alternative evaluations, cost estimates, and remedial action plans
- Design and oversee implementation of in‑situ and ex‑situ remediation systems
- Support remediation system operation, maintenance, and optimization
- Develop monitoring plans, performance criteria, and optimization strategies
- Manage tasks or projects, including budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Assist with proposal development and business development efforts

- Fieldwork up to 30%
- Overnight travel up to 15%
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Detail-oriented with flexibility in time management
