Senior ICT Engineer
Job Summary
The Senior ICT Engineer leads full‑cycle design and delivery for hyperscale and colocation data center projects, as well as smart building and smart city infrastructure. This role collaborates with design teams, project managers, and organizational leadership to develop project specifications, direct design execution, and support broader program development.
The Senior ICT Engineer operates independently on day‑to‑day responsibilities, manages complex project scopes, leads multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to internal standards and continuous improvement. This individual is expected to communicate and operate in alignment with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives.
Essential Functions
ICT Engineering Design Leadership (40%)
- Perform advanced ICT engineering, including structured cabling system design, physical layer systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Develop scalable OSP/ISP fiber and copper plant designs.
- Determine pathway routing, system architecture, and utilization for mission‑critical environments.
- Prepare drawings, models, and visual documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop and review project specifications, book documents, and sheet sets.
- Lead project design teams, manage resources, and coordinate across disciplines.
- Identify scope deviations and assist in strategies to mitigate cost and schedule impacts.
- Conduct QA/QC peer reviews on projects managed by other lead engineers.
Construction Support & Field Activities (20%)
- Conduct site surveys and document existing building and campus conditions.
- Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and field verification materials.
- Work closely with project management to maintain design intent throughout construction.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change order requests.
- Participate in punch‑list walk‑throughs and complete project closeout documentation.
Client Engagement & Business Development (20%)
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and fee estimates.
- Serve as primary client contact for assigned projects; may function as a Program Manager.
- Ensure project delivery meets organizational standards, quality expectations, and client value objectives.
- Support client development, marketing efforts, and preparation of technical research or conference materials.
Organizational Development & Continuous Improvement (20%)
- Mentor junior staff and support internal training and development.
- Contribute to standards, documentation, templates, and workflow best practices.
- Assist with strategic planning and talent evaluation.
- Support cross‑functional initiatives that improve internal processes and organizational scalability.
Technology, Digital Tools & AI‑Driven Efficiency
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital tools, automation, and AI to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support adoption of analytics, visualization tools, and digital construction management platforms to strengthen project controls and quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure digital solutions meet data privacy and operational requirements.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technology‑enabled performance.

- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team, project, or organizational needs.
Position Requirements
Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of fiber optic components, structured cabling systems, and ICT standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
