Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design efforts for HVAC systems, BMS controls, fuel storage, and plumbing across new builds and renovations.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, designers, and BIM specialists to produce coordinated construction documents.
- Conduct site visits across the U.S. to assess existing conditions and review installations.
- Perform system design calculations, load/energy modeling, and equipment selection.
- Write and edit project specifications, reports, and design studies.
- Research code compliance and provide construction administration services.
- Perform QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to proposal writing, project management, and marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- PE license preferred; EIT acceptable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing HVAC systems for data centers, telecom, or other high-tech/industrial facilities.
- LEED certification or experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and MS Office.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as ANSYS.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and project coordination.
