Transportation Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts on UDOT roadway and drainage projects, including urban and rural highways, interstates, and municipal infrastructure.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support their professional development.
- Manage scope, schedule, and deliverables for both existing and new transportation projects.
- Collaborate with local governments, especially cities in Davis County, to ensure project success and community alignment.
- Review and develop design plans using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and/or Civil 3D.
- Ensure quality control across stormwater management plans, drainage reports, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Utah.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway and drainage design.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor in a collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with UDOT standards and experience working with local municipalities.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS.
