Water Resources Project Engineer
A nationally recognized civil and environmental engineering firm is hiring a Water Resources Project Engineer to join their growing Houston office. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who thrives in technical execution-designing stormwater, drainage, and utility infrastructure that makes a real impact on communities across Texas.
What You'll Do
Design stormwater and water/wastewater infrastructure, from concept through final deliverables
Develop and apply H&H models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and SWMM
Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, and technical specifications
Perform drainage analysis, utility coordination, and permit support
Support project managers with design execution, technical problem solving, and client deliverables
Collaborate with civil and structural engineers, modelers, and CAD staff across multidisciplinary teams
What You Bring
Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's a plus
PE license in Texas (required)
At least 6 years of relevant design experience in water resources or stormwater projects
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools
Familiarity with City of Houston, HCFCD, and TxDOT standards and processes
A strong eye for technical detail and a collaborative approach to design work
