Advisor - Substation Engineering (Remote/Hybrid)

This organization works with utilities and energy companies to deliver practical, high-impact solutions across engineering, operations, and strategy.

Position Overview
The Advisor is a senior technical contributor responsible for leading project workstreams, delivering client solutions, and supporting business development efforts. This individual will act as a subject matter expert in substation engineering and interface directly with utility clients at the manager and director level.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical solutions for substation-related projects
- Lead project tasks and support overall project execution
- Develop proposals and support client pursuits
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Identify new opportunities and contribute to business development efforts
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Present technical concepts and solutions to clients
Qualifications
- ~8+ years of experience in the utility or energy industry
- Strong background in substation engineering or related field
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects
- Strong client-facing communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Substation Physical Design
- Protection & Control (P&C)
- Project/Engineering leadership
- Proposal development
