Role Overview
As the Assistant Electrical Project Manager, you will support the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects-from planning and budgeting through execution and closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of electrical construction projects
- Support project managers in scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, and documentation
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with field supervisors to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to effective communication across teams
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with preparing change orders, RFI's, budgets, and closeout documentation
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical construction or project coordination
- Understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with construction software (Accubid, Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus
- Eagerness to grow into a full Project Manager role
