Associate Electrical Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a senior-level Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise in building systems design. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects while producing high-quality deliverables using AutoCAD and Revit. The position follows a technical career path and is embedded within the production team.
As an Associate, you will take ownership of complex design tasks, contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, and play a key role in project execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and production of complete electrical systems drawings in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Solve complex engineering challenges, including coordination issues and unconventional design constraints.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals for new business opportunities.
- Maintain clear communication with senior leadership to ensure alignment with client goals.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal and external design teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to project-related inquiries and updates.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- 5+ years in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design
- Deep understanding of building codes, drafting standards, and interdisciplinary coordination
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and the ability to interpret construction documents
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience preparing technical reports for client-facing delivery
