Business Development Director (Experiential & Events)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
We are looking for a Business Development Director to drive new business growth for a leading experiential events agency.
This is a senior, high-impact role focused on identifying and securing net-new opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and expanding the agency's footprint across corporate events, brand activations, and immersive experiences. You will play a key role in shaping the company's growth strategy while partnering closely with leadership, creative, and production teams to bring best-in-class experiences to market.
This position is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and has a strong track record of winning and growing business within the experiential or events space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all new business development activity, with a focus on generating net-new revenue across corporate clients, brands, and agency partners
- Identify, target, and develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers across marketing, events, and brand teams
- Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities from initial outreach through to contract execution
- Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitch strategy, proposal development, and commercial negotiations
- Collaborate closely with internal creative, strategy, and production teams to deliver tailored, high-impact proposals
- Leverage existing relationships and network to unlock immediate revenue opportunities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to position the business competitively within the experiential space
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, client needs, and competitor activity
- Track and report on pipeline performance, revenue forecasts, and overall business development activity
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development within an experiential agency, live events company, or integrated marketing environment
- Demonstrated track record of consistently generating net-new business and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong existing network of brand and/or corporate client relationships (ideally across the Southeast or nationally)
- Deep understanding of experiential marketing, corporate events, and live production
- Ability to lead complex sales processes and structure high-value deals
- Highly commercial mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present at a high level
- Experience working cross-functionally with creative and production teams to bring concepts to life
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to pipeline generation and business growth
- Based in Atlanta or open to relocation
