2) Position Summary

The Battery Storage Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of grid‑scale battery energy storage projects in Japan.
本ポジションは、日本国内における系統用・ユーティリティ規模の蓄電池プロジェクトを、企画から完工まで一貫して管理します。
This role exists to ensure EPC execution excellence, safe construction, schedule certainty, and full compliance with Japanese grid, construction, and permitting requirements.
本ポジションは、EPC遂行品質の確保、安全な建設、確実なスケジュール管理、日本の系統・建設・許認可要件への完全な対応を目的としています。
You will act as the central interface between internal engineering and supply teams, Japanese EPC partners, OEM vendors, grid operators, and project owners.
社内のエンジニアリング・供給チーム、日本のEPCパートナー、OEMベンダー、系統運用者、事業者の間に立つハブ的な役割を担います。

3) Key Responsibilities

* Lead utility‑scale BESS projects from detailed engineering through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
・詳細設計から建設、試運転、運用引き渡しまでのユーティリティ規模BESS案件の統括
* Manage EPC contractors, construction partners, and equipment suppliers in line with Japanese quality and safety standards.
・日本の品質・安全基準に基づくEPC業者、建設会社、設備サプライヤーの管理
* Coordinate battery system integration, PCS, EMS, substation, and grid interconnection scopes.
・蓄電池システム、PCS、EMS、変電設備、系統連系に関わる技術スコープの調整
* Control project budgets, schedules, procurement milestones, and cash flow in coordination with internal stakeholders.
・社内関係者と連携した予算、工程、調達マイルストーン、キャッシュフロー管理
* Lead engagement with utilities and grid operators for connection studies, testing, and compliance approvals.
・系統連系検討、各種試験、承認取得に向けた電力会社・系統運用者との折衝
* Ensure all permitting, environmental, and construction activities comply with Japanese regulations and local requirements.
・日本の法規制および地域要件に基づく許認可、環境対応、建設管理
* Identify technical, commercial, and schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
・技術・契約・工程リスクの特定および先行的なリスク低減策の実行
* Provide structured reporting and decision support to senior management.
・経営層向けの進捗報告および意思決定支援

4) Requirements

* Experience delivering battery energy storage, power generation, or grid infrastructure projects as a Project Manager.
・蓄電池、発電、または電力インフラ分野におけるプロジェクトマネージャー経験
* Strong understanding of EPC project execution, construction management, and equipment integration.
・EPCプロジェクト遂行、建設管理、設備統合に関する実務的理解
* Hands‑on experience working on projects in Japan with local contractors and engineering firms.
・日本国内案件において、地元施工会社・エンジニアリング会社と協業した実務経験
* Knowledge of Japanese grid connection processes, substation works, and utility coordination is highly valued.
・日本の系統連系、変電設備、電力会社対応に関する知識があれば尚可
* Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills in complex project environments.
・複雑なプロジェクト環境における高い調整力・リーダーシップ
* Business‑level Japanese and professional English proficiency.
・ビジネスレベルの日本語力および業務上使用可能な英語力
