About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership and guidance on multi-site building and infrastructure projects across public and private sectors. This role involves overseeing all phases of project development-from concept and design through construction and completion-ensuring compliance with industry standards for safety, structural integrity, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural and civil engineering design for buildings, bridges, roadways, and related infrastructure.
- Analyze site data, surveys, geotechnical reports, and GIS information to inform design and construction plans.
- Develop detailed construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and safety/phasing strategies.
- Oversee project execution, including budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycle.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development within the team.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and structural engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 7-10 years of post-graduate experience in structural or civil design.
- Expertise in structural engineering principles, design/build processes, and infrastructure planning.
- Proficiency in discipline-specific design software and technical writing.
- Strong knowledge of codes, regulations, and compliance practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Willingness to travel occasionally based on project needs.
