Building Automation Service Sales Engineer
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Service Sales Engineer to join our Building Automation division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving service sales growth by identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and offering tailored solutions that enhance building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and service teams to deliver value-added solutions to new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
- Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
- Promote service offerings including maintenance contracts, retrofits, upgrades, and energy optimization solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, consultants, and contractors.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer requirements and system conditions.
Technical Expertise:
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop customized service solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, building automation technologies, and energy efficiency practices.
Sales Process Management:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in alignment with company policies and profitability targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales or service within the building automation, HVAC, or controls industry.
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, energy management, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with major BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric).
- Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and sustainability initiatives.
- Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, CEM, PMP) are a plus.
