Role Overview

As a Building Envelope Consultant, you will play a key role in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of building enclosure systems. You'll collaborate with architects, developers, and contractors to ensure high-performance, code-compliant, and sustainable envelope solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct condition assessments and forensic investigations of building envelope systems.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings for constructability and compliance.
  • Provide technical consulting on curtain walls, cladding, roofing, and waterproofing systems.
  • Develop schematic designs, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Participate in field testing, mock-up reviews, and quality assurance processes.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in building envelope consulting or facade engineering.
  • Familiarity with thermal analysis, waterproofing, and cladding systems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferred certifications: EIT, PE, RA, LEED AP, RRO/RRC/RWC.
