Company Summary: Looking for an immediate hire to work with a leading Engineering company based in Denver, Colorado. We are seeking a seasoned Building Envelope Consultant with a strong background in forensic investigations and expert witness testimony.
The Building Enclosure Consultant will be responsible for:
- Lead technical project execution, including investigation, troubleshooting, and detailing of building envelope systems.
- Oversee fieldwork and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as the subject-matter expert.
- Serve as a designated expert witness in legal proceedings related to building envelope failures and construction defects.
- Lead forensic investigations into building envelope issues including water intrusion, material failures, and construction deficiencies.
- Develop client relationships and contribute to business growth.
- Maintain and grow client relationships, particularly within legal, insurance, and construction sectors.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and peer review of technical work.
The Building Enclosure Consultant should have the following qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, forensic engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience providing expert witness services, including deposition and trial testimony.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science (Master's preferred).
- Professional license required (PE or RA).
- Deep knowledge of envelope systems including: curtain walls, glazing, roofing, waterproofing, cladding, insulation, sealants, and air barriers.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
