Business Systems Analyst
A professional services firm is seeking a Business Systems Analyst / Product Owner to oversee its Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and related operational systems.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, finance, and operations, with a focus on system ownership and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for strengthening system performance and ensuring it effectively supports business operations.
This position is designed for someone who wants to take clear ownership of how systems support the business. The focus is on aligning tools with real workflows, improving how teams operate, and making informed prioritization decisions. It is not a support or maintenance role. This individual will set direction, manage competing priorities, and serve as the central point of accountability.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and backlog across core ERP and operational platforms
- Prioritize enhancements based on business impact, with a focus on finance and project teams
- Translate business needs into clear, scalable system solutions
- Lead system updates, testing, and release cycles
- Partner with accounting, project management, and operations stakeholders
- Manage external consultants and vendors to ensure delivery and accountability
- Identify gaps in workflows and implement improvements
- Drive system adoption through training, documentation, and support
- Maintain data quality and support reporting and business intelligence efforts
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience supporting or owning ERP or CRM systems in a professional services environment
- Track record of leading system enhancements or implementations
- Able to operate across both product ownership and business analysis responsibilities
- Experience working with finance or project accounting teams
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to operate with limited structure
- Experience managing external partners or consultants
Preferred
- Experience with project-based or operational platforms
- Exposure to project accounting, time tracking, or cost management systems
- Power BI or advanced reporting experience
