Role & Responsibilities
The CAD Technician will play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and models that guide construction and restoration projects. This position involves close collaboration with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for structural and restoration projects
- Convert design concepts and specifications into accurate digital models
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback and project changes
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to resolve technical issues
- Perform occasional site measurements and integrate data into CAD models
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related CAD software
- Strong understanding of structural or civil engineering principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Preferred: Degree or certification in engineering, drafting, or related field
- Prior experience in structural or construction-related CAD work
