The firm advises governments, corporates, and financial institutions on carbon markets, climate policy, and the transition to a net‑zero and nature‑positive economy, with particular depth in international carbon markets and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager - Article 6 & International Carbon Markets to join a growing climate policy and carbon advisory team based in Sydney or Melbourne.
In this role, you will advise clients on the design and implementation of international carbon market mechanisms, with a strong focus on Article 6. The position is well suited to a consultant with hands‑on carbon market experience who enjoys client‑facing, project‑based work across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise governments, corporates, and institutions on Article 6 mechanisms, including cooperative approaches and international carbon market participation
- Support the design and implementation of carbon market frameworks, policies, and governance structures across multiple countries
- Deliver high‑quality consulting engagements, including research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and client presentations
- Work closely with international policy, carbon, and nature teams on cross‑border assignments
- Support client engagement with multilateral organisations, regulators, and government stakeholders
- Contribute to thought leadership, market insights, and advisory offerings related to international carbon markets
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-6 years' experience in carbon markets, climate policy, or related advisory roles
- Demonstrable, hands‑on experience with Article 6 and international carbon market mechanisms
- Background in consulting or professional advisory, with strong client-facing capability
- Solid understanding of global carbon markets, including compliance and voluntary mechanisms
- Experience working with government, multilateral, or public‑sector stakeholders is highly regarded
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy into practical, actionable advice
