About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive, and flexible environment where you can make a meaningful impact on your community through innovative and sustainable infrastructure projects. As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a technical lead or project manager for water and wastewater distribution, collection, and treatment system projects. You'll work with a dedicated team of professionals on local and regional projects, with the opportunity to grow and be challenged.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply engineering principles to design and develop systems or processes with minimal supervision
Maintain expertise in water and wastewater design techniques and procedures
Conduct studies including Needs Assessments, Capacity Evaluations, Environmental Impact Assessments, etc.
Lead process design for treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution/collection systems
Perform site surveys to confirm existing conditions and gather data
Develop specifications, construction cost estimates, and construction sequencing plans
Review shop drawings and construction documentation
Manage project design from Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents
Assist with bid phase services, contractor RFIs, addenda, and construction site inspections
Prepare permit applications in compliance with environmental and construction regulations
Mentor junior engineers, interns, and team members
Support or lead project management tasks, including:
Acting as client liaison
Coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Managing budgets, schedules, and reporting
Leading client meetings and ensuring quality control throughout project development
Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Management, or MBA preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability in technical or project management roles
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and REVIT software
